Tab Haven is built to be private. It runs inside your own browser and keeps your data on your device. This policy explains in full what data the extension handles, how it is used, how it is stored, and whether it is shared.

What data Tab Haven collects and handles

To do its job, Tab Haven handles the following data that you choose to save:

The tabs you save: the page URL and title of each tab, whether it is pinned, and the name and color of its tab group. This is web history data that you explicitly choose to save.
The folders, notes, names and backup snapshots you create inside the extension.

This data is only accessed when you use the extension, for example when you click Save, and only to provide the extension's features.

How your data is used (handling)

Your saved tabs and settings are used solely to save, restore, search, organize and back up your tabs. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, tracking, profiling, or any purpose other than making the extension work for you.

How your data is stored

All of the data above is stored locally on your own device, using your browser's built-in storage. It is not stored on any server operated by us. We do not run servers that hold your tabs or your browsing data.

Data sharing and transmission

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party. Your tabs and your browsing are never transmitted off your device. The only data that ever leaves your device is your Pro license key, and only if you buy Pro: it is sent to our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, solely to verify your purchase and unlock Pro features. No tab data or browsing information is ever included in that request.

Permissions we request, and why

Tabs and Tab groups: to read the tabs in your window when you save a set, and to reopen them (with their groups and pinned state) when you restore.
Storage and Unlimited storage: to keep your saved sets, folders, notes and local backups on your device.
Alarms: to periodically auto-save a snapshot of your open tabs so you can recover a session after an accidental close or a crash.

These permissions are used only to make the extension work on your device, never to collect or send your data.

Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete any set, folder, note or backup at any time inside the extension, or uninstall the extension to remove its data from your browser.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
