After installing Tab Haven, click its icon in the browser toolbar to open the panel. If you do not see it, click the puzzle-piece (Extensions) icon and pin Tab Haven so it stays on the toolbar.
Everything is stored locally in your own browser. There is no account and nothing to set up.
Click Save these tabs to save all the tabs in the current window as a set. Each set shows how many tabs it holds and when you saved it.
Expand a set and choose where to open it: New window opens all its tabs in a fresh window, and This window adds them to your current window in the background. Your choice is remembered. Then click Restore.
When you restore into the current window, an Undo appears under that set so you can close the tabs you just opened if it was a mistake.
Click a set to expand it and see every tab it holds. Click any tab in the list to open just that one.
Type in the search box to find anything you saved. The three chips let you choose where to look: All, only set Names, or only Links. Handy when you have many sets and want to jump straight to one by name.
Group your sets into folders. Use the folder chips to create a folder (+ New) and to filter to it. To put a set into a folder, expand it and pick the folder from its Folder menu. Rename or delete a folder from its header. Deleting a folder never deletes your sets, it just frees them.
The free plan includes up to 3 folders. Pro unlocks unlimited folders and lets you give each one a color.Pro
Expand a set and add a short note to it, for example "draft for the client, finish tomorrow". Notes save as you type.
Expand a set and click Switch to this workspace to replace your current tabs with that set in one move. Your current tabs are saved first as "Tabs before switch", so nothing is ever lost, and a Back to previous tabs banner lets you return with one click.
When you save and restore, Tab Haven keeps your Chrome tab groups (with their names and colors) and your pinned tabs intact.
Moving from another tool? Click Import. Paste your OneTab list or Session Buddy export, or choose a file. Each group becomes a saved set, with your tabs intact. Tab Haven backups can be imported the same way.
Tab Haven quietly auto-saves your open tabs in the background. If you close the browser by accident or it crashes, click Recover and bring a recent session back with one click, even if you never saved it manually. This is free.
Click Export backup to download a file with all your sets. Keep it safe, or use it to move everything to another computer (see below).
Pro keeps automatic snapshots of your sets over time. Open Backups to restore any earlier point if something ever goes wrong.
Free includes unlimited save and restore, search, sort, pin, open individual tabs, up to 3 folders, import from OneTab and Session Buddy, manual backup export, and the Recover feature.
Pro adds unlimited and colored folders, workspace switch, tab group and pinned tab preservation, notes on any set, and automatic backups with restore points. Pro is €14.99 once (lifetime) or €2.99 per month.
After buying Pro you receive a license key by email. Open the upgrade screen in Tab Haven (for example by clicking a Pro feature), paste your key and click Activate.
Your key works on up to 5 devices. Install Tab Haven on another browser or computer and activate the same key there.
Two things move separately, and together get your whole setup across:
Tab Haven runs entirely on your device. It has no servers and never uploads your tabs or your browsing. The only network request it ever makes is to verify your Pro license key with our payment provider. See our Privacy Policy.
Click the puzzle-piece (Extensions) icon in the toolbar and pin Tab Haven so it stays visible.
That is on purpose, so it does not interrupt what you are doing. The tabs are there waiting, and an Undo lets you close them if needed.
Paste your license key in the upgrade screen and click Activate. The key is in your purchase email.
You have activated it on 5 devices. Email us and we will free a slot.
Export a backup first, then Import it after reinstalling. The Recover feature also keeps recent sessions.
Yes. Everything stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
